CHANGE YOUR MIND FOR WORLD PEACE

How comfortable do you feel about the future? Not your future but the future of mankind and life as we know it? Global events make us pause and experience fear at all the crazy things happening around us. It is uncertain what to expect of the coming months. It seems that Mother Nature is going about her job, doing what she needs to do to resolve the imbalances in nature. It is not very comfortable for us as she does this because it disrupts and affects our lives in tragic ways, but this is becoming life as we know it.

How do we emulate nature? What can we do to help? The human race as we know is a collective of energy, of emotion and thoughts otherwise known as consciousness. Everything we emit spirals out in to the universes and become manifest. What if our thoughts and emotions are spontaneously creating planets and solar systems? What if we end up with Orson Wells’ War Of The Worlds? Aliens landing on the planet with the intention of world domination? What if we are creating as we think, oceanic monsters and Hogwarts schools with a dark arts master bent on human control?

What if we could reverse what is happening on the global sphere? Getting rid of anger and fear and poverty? We have tried to use goodwill to change the negativity on the planet, but it doesn’t seem to be working, is it? What can we do to change the status quo? It is possible to make the world in our own view of what we want it to be.

If you figure out what you want. Not just what you need but also what you want. Imagine what you want as clearly as you can in your minds eye. Then look at how you feel when you envision your dream. The dream could be world peace, a new washing machine, or a new pet. Find the thing that make you happy. Keep focusing on it until you find yourself smiling. Imagine your smile and let the good feeling grow and expand out to fill the room you are in, touching everything and everyone in its reach. Push the energy outward as far as you can without losing the great feeling. If you begin to lose the feeling, stop. Generate the feeling again and then push it outwards repeating what you have done before.

The intention is to reframe the energy around us. We the human race have consistently created negativity through war, fear and limitation, for as long as we have been in existence. But there was a time when we were not in competition with ourselves. The time of self-competition is over. It is now time for cooperation with the male and female aspects of the self. This is not about physical gender. It is about energetic balance.

In order to change the world, to heal the world and allow love to flow, it is necessary to love ourselves and let this energy flow outwards until it fills your life fully. Whatever you thing you create.

December 2015 Newsletter

Regardless of what name one chooses to call these holidays, they are appreciated by everyone. Children get a respite from study and adults have time off from work to enjoy their families. There is a great deal of controversy about how these days should be spent. One of the biggest conversation is the commercialization of Christmas. There is an ad from a popular store that talks about how we are so focused on sales but they do not have sales because their prices are already low, so “Come buy from us”. It is challenging to step away from sales and shopping at any time of the year.

We are all dependent of sales and shopping to be able to put the turkey and stuffing on the festive table. Are you going to go out and cut your own cedar for a festive wreath? Where do you get the clippers or the knife to cut the boughs?

Let’s face it. Whether we live in a social, or consumer society, we are still dependent on the trade of goods and services. In order for us to let go of commercialism, we have to go back to the time before running water and electricity and even then the Romans created money.

Charity seeks money for socks and coats and food to serve the poor. We are a commercial community and now because we are so much involved in rejecting commercialism, charity is making it OK for us to spend. Buy this and we will give a percentage. See how great we are? If we acknowledge our consumerist ways, poverty will be eliminated. Because everyone who wants to work building things for the consumer world would have a job. They in turn would spend money on housing, food, clothing and necessities and our global economies would flourish.

Let’s let go of criticizing spending. Let us see the positive of making and selling things. If we don’t like big businesses, let us recreate the mom and pop businesses. This, in our modern world will go a long way to creating an affluent society where children do not go hungry.

Well, I have said a mouthful. This newsletter issue is about the joys the holidays bring. It is about tolerance and creating delight with family. I buy christmas cards because it takes me too long to make them. I purchase the things for my dinner because I do not live on a farm. I am offering special gifts that will keep giving all year round. I am offering reading forecasts for your 2016 and a free weekly Inspirational Affirmations Calendar which I will send out once a week to your mailbox if you are on my newsletter email list. Join the list if you would like to take part in this special offer. This season is about feeling good.

Embrace peace and joy.

The Redemptive Quality of Forgiveness In The Holidays

Happy Holidays! In whichever form you choose to experience it. As we come to the end of two thousand and fifteen, part of the human race is showing a reversal of tolerance. The news media chooses to follow individuals exercising their right to speak their minds, to express their self-loathing spewed across the planet and out in to the universe.

We are in the chrysalis stage of the human evolution. As the caterpillar we absorbed the teachings of people like Wayne Dwyer, Marianne Williamson and the Dali Lama to name a few. These teachers helped us to recognize ourselves as divine beings in a physical, human experience. Now we have to turn what we know into wisdom. We absorbed the powerful teachings; reading books, attending workshops and lectures, meditation and our own unveiling wisdom to this end and beyond.

The end of year holidays force us to look within to see if we are as tolerant and loving as we envisage ourselves to be. Do you love someone regardless of how they treat you? Can you forgive yourself for being stupid, small, weak, or gullible? Are you able to see that in the weakness you are being given the opportunity to grow and develop into the powerful being of light that you are seeking to embrace?

Are we able to give kindness and love to the ones we feel have wronged us? Are we able to love and forgive the dark in others? Several movies come to mind, Dead Man Walking with Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn and The Green Mile with Tom Hanks and Micheal Clarke Duncan, to name a couple. These movies show the redemptive quality that love and forgiveness can bring. How does compassion and empathy fit in our desire to evolve and grow into beings of light? The ranter who spews words of hatred and derision is turning himself inside out showing us his or her own self-loathing. The person who causes harm to another began her journey to this state, in a tiny way mostly trying to show that he or she is kind and loving. This turns out badly because each must know his light first before the light can be seen by others.

Christmas carols are about kindness and love. They are about tolerance and magnanimity. The christmas tree is the sign of hope with the light shining at the top. When I was a child living with my grandparents, my grandmother woke me up one night to look at a star travelling across the sky. The star was incredible bright, with the long tail stretched behind it. It may have been a comet, but for some reason, my grandmother knew that it was there. Behind the wooden bedroom window, she would have had to have been forewarned of it’s coming, to be able to get up at that exact time, open the window to show it to me. It appeared like the star I read about in books, the star the wise men followed to the new born Jesus.

My grandmother was an angry woman, my grandfather was filled with malice. My sisters and I were sent to live with those two at such an early age that I may have chosen a different course in life but for the magical events I experienced that made me see that there was more to the existence that what my sisters and I were experiencing. This time of the year to me, is like the star that fell across the sky that night. It is a reminder that even though we may not see kindness or loving actions in those around us, loving kindness does exist. We are being asked to find it within ourselves and exercise our right to be loving. To show tolerance to even those we feel do not deserve it.

For those of us whose purpose it is to heal the planet, our job is not to preach to the converted. It is to go into the dark, scary places and shine our starlight so that those in the dark may find their way to the light.

May the light of understanding that sits within you, illuminate the hearts of the world in its darkest places.
